NexusRig Velocity Blue Edition: overview

The NexusRig Velocity is a hybrid formula and GT sim racing cockpit co-designed with Formula engineers, and this version comes in a deep racing blue finish inspired by Formula One team colours. It lets you switch between a low, reclined formula position and an upright GT position in minutes – tool-free.

Its 2-inch tubular steel chassis handles direct drive wheel bases up to 30 Nm, and the strengthened pedal plate withstands up to 180 kg of braking force without flex, so load cell and hydraulic pedals feel exactly as they should.

The tool-free wheel deck, pedal tray and patent-pending seat assembly all adjust in height, angle and distance. Bring your own seat – or add our hybrid fibreglass seat – and build the rig your way.

Formula to GT in minutes

Seat, wheel deck and pedal tray all adjust in height, angle and distance – tool-free – so you can move between a reclined formula position and an upright GT position in minutes.

2-inch tubular steel chassis

Thick steel tubing keeps the rig stable with direct drive bases up to 30 Nm.

Strengthened pedal plate

Withstands up to 180 kg of braking force without flex, slides fore and aft, and is pre-drilled for a wide range of pedal sets, including inverted mounting.

Tool-free wheel deck

Slide, height and angle adjustment, with three wheel mounting options for direct drive and belt-driven bases.

10-second seat changes

The patent-pending seat assembly, developed with ergonomics specialists, changes position in under 10 seconds and leaves space beneath for a bass shaker.

Ready to expand

Optional hybrid fibreglass seat, bass shaker kit, handbrake and shifter mounts, HOTAS mounts, speaker mounts, PC shelf and monitor stands.

Compatibility

Wheel torque: up to 30 Nm. Three wheel mounting options cover most bases: a wheel plate, a front mount and a side mount.

Front mount: Simucube SC1/SC2/SC3 (Sport, Pro, Ultimate), Simagic Alpha, Alpha Mini and Ultimate, VRS DirectForce Pro (15/20 Nm), Fanatec Podium DD (without front plate), AccuForce V1/V2, Immsource ET3/ET5, Leo Bodnar / Kollmorgen AKM 52–54, Bodnar 53 series, Lenze MCS12, MiGe 130ST and Ricmotech Mini-Mite. Asetek Invicta, Forte and La Prima use the dedicated Asetek front mount.

Wheel deck: Asetek (with adaptor), AccuForce, Conspit Ares, Fanatec CSL Elite/ClubSport/ClubSport DD and DD+/Podium/CSL DD/GT DD Pro, Logitech G25 to G923, G PRO and RS50, MOZA R3 to R21, R21 Ultra and R25 Ultra, Nacon Revosim RS Pure, PXN, Simagic Alpha series (Alpha EVO with its side-mount kit), Thermaltake G6, Turtle Beach Velocity One Race, Thrustmaster T150 to T818 (with adaptor), VNM Elite, Supreme and Xtreme. Fanatec DD bases can also use the side mount with spacer plates.

Pedals: pre-drilled for the major brands – Asetek, Cammus, Conspit CPP, Cube Controls, Fanatec CSL Elite and ClubSport (incl. inverted), Heusinkveld Sprint/Ultimate/Pro, Logitech, Meca, MOZA CRP/SRP, Simagic P500/P1000/P2000, Simucube Co-Pedal and ActivePedal, SimJack, Sim-Lab, Simtrecs, Thrustmaster T-LCM/T3PA, Venym, VRS, VNM and more.

Choosing and building a sim rig

Rigidity first. A cockpit exists so the force your wheel base produces goes into your hands, not into a flexing frame. Direct drive bases need a stiff front mount; aluminium profile rigs (40 mm and 80 mm extrusion with 8 mm slots) are the stiffest and most adjustable, while steel tube rigs are lighter and quicker to assemble.

Driving position. GT position puts you upright with the pedals low; formula position reclines the seat and raises the pedals. Check whether the cockpit, seat bracket and pedal mount allow the position you want.

Plan the extras. Monitor stands, shifter and handbrake mounts, keyboard trays and PC shelves bolt onto most profile rigs. Planning them up front avoids drilling or re-assembling later.

Setup and use

1. Assemble the tubular chassis with the included tool kit (about 2 hours).
2. Fit your seat (not included) to the seat assembly and your pedals to the pedal plate.
3. Choose a wheel mounting option and install your wheel base.
4. Set formula or GT: adjust seat angle, pedal tray height and angle, and wheel deck position.
5. Fit optional shifter, handbrake or monitor mounts.

Care and maintenance

Check bolts after the first week and then monthly with a high-torque base. Wipe the powder-coated steel with a damp cloth. The rubber feet protect your floor; keep them fitted.

Shipping

Shipping is free on orders worldwide. Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days and typically arrive within 4–8 business days in total, with tracking sent by email. Large items such as cockpits, seats and monitor stands can ship in several boxes, customs or public holidays can occasionally add a few days, and some items ship directly from our supplier.

Returns

You have 14 days from delivery to return the product for a refund, for any reason. It must be new, unused and in its original packaging with all accessories and documents. Contact us at metanexusxr@gmail.com with your order number to start the return.

Warranty

Products bought from our store are covered by a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. If anything goes wrong, email us your order number and a short description or photo and we will handle the claim with you.

Frequently asked questions

Is the blue edition finish the only difference from the other Velocity versions?

Yes. All NexusRig Velocity colourways share the same chassis, adjustments and compatibility; only the finish changes.

Is a seat included?

No. Add a bucket or hybrid seat from our sim racing seats; the NexusSeat Hybrid Formula suits this rig especially well.

How much torque can it take?

Direct drive bases up to 30 Nm.

How long does assembly take?

About 2 hours with the included tool kit.

Can I mount a handbrake and shifter?
