Adding motion and haptics to a rig
Haptics vs motion. Bass shakers turn engine, road and kerb effects into vibration you feel through the seat and pedals. Motion actuators physically move the rig to simulate pitch, roll and heave. Both add information that helps you feel grip.
Power and software. Shakers need an amplifier and a telemetry app such as SimHub; motion systems come with their own controller and software profiles for each game.
Isolation. Keep screens on a freestanding stand and use isolation feet so vibration and motion stay in the rig and not in the floor or the monitors.
Setup and use

Direct drive bases need a stiff front mount; aluminium profile rigs (40 mm and 80 mm extrusion with 8 mm slots) are the stiffest and most adjustable, while steel tube rigs are lighter and quicker to assemble.
Driving position. GT position puts you upright with the pedals low; formula position reclines the seat and raises the pedals. Check whether the cockpit, seat bracket and pedal mount allow the position you want.
Plan the extras. Monitor stands, shifter and handbrake mounts, keyboard trays and PC shelves bolt onto most profile rigs. Planning them up front avoids drilling or re-assembling later.

Building a sim racing or flight setup
Base, rim and pedals. In a modular setup the wheel base holds the force feedback motor, the rim clips on with a quick release and the pedals connect to the base or by USB. Rims and pedals must suit your base, and the base decides which platforms are supported.
Direct drive. Direct drive bases attach the rim straight to the motor for the most detailed and strongest feedback. They need a rigid cockpit or a strong desk mount.
Load cell pedals. A load cell brake measures pressure, not travel, like a real car. It is the single upgrade that improves lap-time consistency the most.
Setup and use
- Mount each component on your rig (base, pedals, shifter, handbrake).
- Connect USB and power.
- Install the configuration app, update firmware and calibrate.
- Map controls in your sim.

NexusDrive DD9 Sport starter bundle: overview
This starter bundle gives you a complete, matched direct drive setup in one box: the NexusDrive DD9 Sport 9 Nm wheel base, the NexusWheel GT Carbon steering wheel and the NexusPedal Sport load cell 2-pedal set.
The 9 Nm base delivers detailed road feel with quiet, smooth torque and low latency. The GT Carbon wheel has a carbon fibre front panel, aluminium rear shell, a high-resolution LCD for telemetry, 12 RGB buttons, 4 rotary encoders and dual magnetic paddles.
The pedal set pairs a 100 kg load cell brake with a Hall sensor throttle, both adjustable in angle, spacing, stroke and resistance – the single biggest step to consistent braking.

Compatibility

Building a sim racing or flight setup
Base, rim and pedals. In a modular setup the wheel base holds the force feedback motor, the rim clips on with a quick release and the pedals connect to the base or by USB. Rims and pedals must suit your base, and the base decides which platforms are supported.
Direct drive. Direct drive bases attach the rim straight to the motor for the most detailed and strongest feedback. They need a rigid cockpit or a strong desk mount.
Load cell pedals. A load cell brake measures pressure, not travel, like a real car. It is the single upgrade that improves lap-time consistency the most.
Setup and use
- Mount the base on your rig and the pedals on the pedal plate.
- Fit the wheel to the base's quick release.
- Connect USB and power, install the configuration software.
- Calibrate pedals and set force feedback strength.
Care and maintenance
Keep vents clear, check mounting bolts regularly, wipe the wheel and pedals with a dry cloth.

This bundle pairs the NexusDrive Elite Pro 25 Nm direct drive base with a carbon fibre formula wheel and the quick release that joins them – a complete formula steering system for PC.
The Elite Pro gives detailed, powerful feedback with a 22-bit encoder and 8 Nm/ms slew rate. The carbon formula wheel has high-resolution displays, multiple configurable buttons and an ergonomic grip that recreates the feel of a real formula wheel.
