NexusPedal Core 2: overview

NexusPedal Core 2 is a load cell pedal set (throttle and brake) built for competitive sim racing from CNC aerospace-grade aluminium and high-strength steel.

The brake combines a 100 kg load cell with a 15-bit angle sensor: the angle sensor handles the first part of the travel and the load cell the rest, for braking that is both controllable and consistent. Elastomers and springs give 25 brake-feel setups out of the box, and over 1,000 with the brake performance kit.

Face angle (10°/25°), spacing (±15 mm) and height (36 mm) adjust, brake feel changes by hand without tools, and sleeved steel shafts run smooth and quiet. It connects by USB and works with any brand of wheel base.

Building a sim racing or flight setup

Base, rim and pedals. In a modular setup the wheel base holds the force feedback motor, the rim clips on with a quick release and the pedals connect to the base or by USB. Rims and pedals must suit your base, and the base decides which platforms are supported.

Direct drive. Direct drive bases attach the rim straight to the motor for the most detailed and strongest feedback. They need a rigid cockpit or a strong desk mount.

Load cell pedals. A load cell brake measures pressure, not travel, like a real car. It is the single upgrade that improves lap-time consistency the most.

Setup and use

1. Mount on a rig, a stand or the floor (anti-slip pads).
2. Connect by USB.
3. Set brake feel with the elastomers.
4. Tune curves and the brake engagement point in the configuration software for PC and the mobile app.

Care and maintenance

Keep the shafts clean; check bolts occasionally.

Returns
