NexusDrive Core 9 + GT Pro Carbon bundle: overview

This direct drive wheel bundle pairs the NexusDrive Core 9 – a 9 Nm direct drive base with a 21-bit encoder, an 18-slot servo motor and smart cooling – with the NexusWheel GT Pro Carbon, a 300 mm forged carbon GT wheel with ten mechanical buttons and Hall dual-clutch paddles.

The two are matched out of the box: the wheel clicks onto the base's all-aluminium quick release, powers and talks through the slip ring with no cable to twist, and shows telemetry from the base.

Add pedals of your choice – NexusPedal Core 2 or Core LC load cell pedals plug straight into the base – and you are ready for iRacing and the rest of the PC sim racing world.

Compatibility

Platform: PC. Titles include iRacing, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Le Mans Ultimate, the F1 series, DiRT Rally 2.0 and EA SPORTS WRC.

Pedals: NexusPedal Core 2, Core LC and Booster Active connect to the base; other USB pedals work too.

Mounting: 4-hole bottom mount on a rig, or the optional table clamp on a desk.

Building a sim racing or flight setup

Base, rim and pedals. In a modular setup the wheel base holds the force feedback motor, the rim clips on with a quick release and the pedals connect to the base or by USB. Rims and pedals must suit your base, and the base decides which platforms are supported.

Direct drive. Direct drive bases attach the rim straight to the motor for the most detailed and strongest feedback. They need a rigid cockpit or a strong desk mount.

Load cell pedals. A load cell brake measures pressure, not travel, like a real car. It is the single upgrade that improves lap-time consistency the most.

Setup and use

1. Bolt the base to your rig or fit the table clamp.
2. Click the wheel onto the quick release.
3. Connect power, pedals and USB.
4. Install the configuration software for PC and the mobile app and pick a game profile.

Care and maintenance

Keep the base vents clear, the quick release clean and the firmware up to date.
