NexusDrive Core 16 Max: overview

The NexusDrive Core 16 Max is a premium direct drive wheel base with 16 Nm of sustained torque for experienced sim racers.

A high-density flat-wire motor with ultra-low cogging, a 21-bit magnetic encoder and a 600 MHz processor deliver smooth, fast and highly detailed force feedback, tuned by the latest force feedback algorithm with deep adjustment.

Dual RGB light strips can show ABS, traction control, shift and flag telemetry, dedicated ports connect pedals, shifter, handbrake, dash and E-stop without extra USB, and Hands-Off Protection calms the wheel the moment you let go.

Compatibility

Platform: Windows PC; Xbox when used with the NexusWheel Starter X. Titles include iRacing, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Le Mans Ultimate, the F1 series, Forza Motorsport, Forza Horizon, DiRT Rally 2.0, EA SPORTS WRC and rFactor 2.

Wheels: NexusWheel range on the Core quick release.

Mounting: bottom, front or side; check the hole pattern against your rig.

Building a sim racing or flight setup

Base, rim and pedals. In a modular setup the wheel base holds the force feedback motor, the rim clips on with a quick release and the pedals connect to the base or by USB. Rims and pedals must suit your base, and the base decides which platforms are supported.

Direct drive. Direct drive bases attach the rim straight to the motor for the most detailed and strongest feedback. They need a rigid cockpit or a strong desk mount.

Load cell pedals. A load cell brake measures pressure, not travel, like a real car. It is the single upgrade that improves lap-time consistency the most.

Setup and use

1. Mount the base to a rigid rig (front, side or bottom).
2. Fit a NexusWheel.
3. Connect power, peripherals and USB.
4. Install the configuration software for PC and the mobile app and tune force feedback.

Care and maintenance

Keep the vents clear; update the firmware regularly.

Large items such as cockpits, seats and monitor stands can ship in several boxes, customs or public holidays can occasionally add a few days, and some items ship directly from our supplier.

Returns

Warranty
