240 mm universal side mount supports: overview

These two 240 mm side mount supports in 80x40 mm black anodised aluminium give you a solid place on each side of your cockpit for shifters, handbrakes, flight controls and other accessories – ideal for rally-style side positioning and flight setups.

They bolt to any 80/20-style extrusion cockpit with the included brackets and hardware, and our shifter, handbrake and other mounts fit them directly.

Two supports, brackets, screws, T-nuts and an end cap are included.

Compatibility

Our aluminium profile cockpits (NexusRig Fortress, Formula Hybrid, Titan, Vanguard, Sprint, Rookie, NexusHaul) and other 80/20-style extrusion rigs.

Accessories: sequential and H-pattern shifters, handbrakes, throttle quadrants, collectives, trim wheels, button boxes, emergency stop switches, speaker mounts and auxiliary modules.

Mounting on aluminium profile rigs

The 8 mm slot standard. Most modern sim rigs use 40 mm-based aluminium extrusion (40x40, 40x80, 40x160) with 8 mm slots. Mounts fix with M8 bolts and T-nuts that slide into the slot, so they can be moved and re-angled at any time.

Rigidity and access. Mount heavy or high-force devices (handbrakes, shifters, wheel bases) as close to a vertical upright or cross member as possible. Leave room to get in and out of the seat.

Tools. A set of hex keys (mainly 6 mm for M8) covers nearly every mount. Snug every bolt, test, then do a final tightening once the position is right.

Setup and use

1. Choose the height and position on each side.
2. Fix the supports with the brackets and T-nuts.
3. Mount your accessories and tighten.

Care and maintenance

Check bolts regularly, especially under a heavy handbrake.

Large items such as cockpits, seats and monitor stands can ship in several boxes, customs or public holidays can occasionally add a few days, and some items ship directly from our supplier.

Returns

You have 14 days from delivery to return the product for a refund, for any reason. It must be new, unused and in its original packaging with all accessories and documents. Contact us at metanexusxr@gmail.com with your order number to start the return.

Warranty

Products bought from our store are covered by a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. If anything goes wrong, email us your order number and a short description or photo and we will handle the claim with you.
