Universal side chassis support (straight profile): overview

This side chassis support adds a stable 80x40 aluminium structure to the side of straight-profile cockpits, ready for flight sim mounts, shifters, handbrakes and accessory brackets.

It is designed for straight-profile aluminium rigs – like the NexusRig Fortress, Formula Hybrid and Titan – rather than the S-shaped variants, and for other high-end straight extrusion rigs.

The anodised aluminium is light and wear-resistant, and all brackets and hardware are included.

Mounting on aluminium profile rigs

The 8 mm slot standard. Most modern sim rigs use 40 mm-based aluminium extrusion (40x40, 40x80, 40x160) with 8 mm slots. Mounts fix with M8 bolts and T-nuts that slide into the slot, so they can be moved and re-angled at any time.

Rigidity and access. Mount heavy or high-force devices (handbrakes, shifters, wheel bases) as close to a vertical upright or cross member as possible. Leave room to get in and out of the seat.

Tools. A set of hex keys (mainly 6 mm for M8) covers nearly every mount. Snug every bolt, test, then do a final tightening once the position is right.

Setup and use

1. Fit the brackets to the rig.
2. Bolt the 350 and 666 mm profiles in place.
3. Add your mounts.

Returns

Warranty

Products bought from our store are covered by a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. If anything goes wrong, email us your order number and a short description or photo and we will handle the claim with you.
