Universal Keyboard Holder for Aluminium Profile Sim Racing & Flight Sim Cockpits

Universal keyboard holder: overview

This universal keyboard tray gives your sim rig a solid typing platform for chat, pit strategy, setup changes and flight sim commands, without leaving the seat.

It is heavy-duty steel with minimal flex and adjusts for an ergonomic typing position and quick in-race or in-flight access.

It mounts directly to aluminium profile cockpits and most 8020 / T-slot rigs.

Features in detail

Universal profile fit

Mounts to extruded aluminium cockpits and most 8020 / T-slot rigs.

Strong steel

Minimal flex under heavy use.

Adjustable position

Ergonomic typing and quick access.

Fits many keyboards

Sim racing, gaming and compact mechanical keyboards.

Compatibility

Our aluminium profile cockpits (NexusRig Fortress, Formula Hybrid, Titan, Vanguard, Sprint, Rookie, NexusHaul) and most other branded 8020 / T-slot rigs.

Mounting on aluminium profile rigs

The 8 mm slot standard. Most modern sim rigs use 40 mm-based aluminium extrusion (40x40, 40x80, 40x160) with 8 mm slots. Mounts fix with M8 bolts and T-nuts that slide into the slot, so they can be moved and re-angled at any time.

Rigidity and access. Mount heavy or high-force devices (handbrakes, shifters, wheel bases) as close to a vertical upright or cross member as possible. Leave room to get in and out of the seat.

Tools. A set of hex keys (mainly 6 mm for M8) covers nearly every mount. Snug every bolt, test, then do a final tightening once the position is right.

Setup and use

1. Slide T-nuts into the profile where you want the tray.
2. Bolt the holder on and set its angle and height.
3. Place your keyboard and tighten.

Care and maintenance

Check bolts occasionally; wipe with a damp cloth.
