Universal dual-lock seat slider kit: overview

These seat sliders move your seat 110 mm forward and 110 mm back, so you can find the right distance to the wheel and pedals and change it in seconds for another driver.

Cold-rolled steel rails handle hard braking without play, and the ergonomic handle makes adjustment easy from the seat.

The kit fits our tube and aluminium profile cockpits and most others; on very wide or narrow setups the adjuster bar may need bending slightly outward.

Choosing and building a sim rig

Rigidity first. A cockpit exists so the force your wheel base produces goes into your hands, not into a flexing frame. Direct drive bases need a stiff front mount; aluminium profile rigs (40 mm and 80 mm extrusion with 8 mm slots) are the stiffest and most adjustable, while steel tube rigs are lighter and quicker to assemble.

Driving position. GT position puts you upright with the pedals low; formula position reclines the seat and raises the pedals. Check whether the cockpit, seat bracket and pedal mount allow the position you want.

Plan the extras. Monitor stands, shifter and handbrake mounts, keyboard trays and PC shelves bolt onto most profile rigs. Planning them up front avoids drilling or re-assembling later.

Setup and use

1. Bolt the sliders to the seat brackets.
2. Bolt the assembly to the rig.
3. Check the handle moves both rails, then lock.

Care and maintenance

Keep the rails free of dust and add a drop of light grease once a year.
