NexusShift Active Knob: overview

The NexusShift Active Knob turns a NexusFlight force feedback stick base into an active, force feedback shifter driven by dual servo motors.

With real torque, it creates lifelike engagement clicks, gate resistance, grinding and vibration – and switches instantly between H-pattern, sequential and handbrake modes.

On the Force Stick Base it delivers 12 Nm peak with ±20° of travel; lever length is 100 mm for H-pattern and 130 mm for sequential. The spherical knob can be swapped for a long one.

Building a sim racing or flight setup

Base, rim and pedals. In a modular setup the wheel base holds the force feedback motor, the rim clips on with a quick release and the pedals connect to the base or by USB. Rims and pedals must suit your base, and the base decides which platforms are supported.

Direct drive. Direct drive bases attach the rim straight to the motor for the most detailed and strongest feedback. They need a rigid cockpit or a strong desk mount.

Load cell pedals. A load cell brake measures pressure, not travel, like a real car. It is the single upgrade that improves lap-time consistency the most.

Setup and use

1. Attach the knob to the base connector and turn clockwise to tighten.
2. Choose H-pattern, sequential or handbrake mode in the configuration software for PC and the mobile app.
3. Tune clicks, resistance and vibration.

Returns
