NexusShift Dual-Mode 7-Speed: overview

The NexusShift Dual-Mode 7-Speed is a professional sim racing shifter that switches between a 7-speed H-pattern gate (six forward gears plus reverse) and sequential mode.

Its all-aluminium build and adjustable shift tension give a mechanical, notchy feel close to a real gearbox, for circuit racing, drifting, rally, GT and touring cars.

At 110 x 260 mm it fits easily into most rigs, mounts from the side or the base, and comes with spherical and cylindrical quick-release knobs. It connects by USB and is plug-and-play on PC.

Mounting: side or base mount on most aluminium profile and steel tube rigs; clamps sold separately. Optional 4- and 5-speed H-pattern plates available.

Building a sim racing or flight setup

Base, rim and pedals. In a modular setup the wheel base holds the force feedback motor, the rim clips on with a quick release and the pedals connect to the base or by USB. Rims and pedals must suit your base, and the base decides which platforms are supported.

Direct drive. Direct drive bases attach the rim straight to the motor for the most detailed and strongest feedback. They need a rigid cockpit or a strong desk mount.

Load cell pedals. A load cell brake measures pressure, not travel, like a real car. It is the single upgrade that improves lap-time consistency the most.

Setup and use

1. Mount the shifter to your rig's shifter plate from the side or base.
2. Fit your preferred knob.
3. Connect USB and map the gears in your game.
4. Adjust shift tension to taste.

Care and maintenance

Keep the mechanism free of dust; check the mounting bolts now and then.

Returns
