The NexusSeat Recliner Alcantara-Style is a reclining sim racing seat with a refined mix of leather-look and suede-look upholstery.

Its adjustable backrest moves from relaxed GT seating to a more focused racing posture, with support for long practice runs, endurance stints and everyday use.

It suits GT rigs and multi-purpose simulators, and comes as seat only or with brackets.

Compatibility

Rigs: all our cockpits and most universal simulator frames, with recliner seat brackets (seat with brackets option, or sold separately).

Bracket mounting: under-seat 138–350 mm, rig/slider 131–291 mm.

Choosing and building a sim rig

Rigidity first. A cockpit exists so the force your wheel base produces goes into your hands, not into a flexing frame. Direct drive bases need a stiff front mount; aluminium profile rigs (40 mm and 80 mm extrusion with 8 mm slots) are the stiffest and most adjustable, while steel tube rigs are lighter and quicker to assemble.

Driving position. GT position puts you upright with the pedals low; formula position reclines the seat and raises the pedals. Check whether the cockpit, seat bracket and pedal mount allow the position you want.

Plan the extras. Monitor stands, shifter and handbrake mounts, keyboard trays and PC shelves bolt onto most profile rigs. Planning them up front avoids drilling or re-assembling later.

Setup and use

1. Fit the brackets to the seat base.
2. Bolt the seat to the sliders or rig.
3. Set the backrest angle with the handle.

Care and maintenance

Brush the suede-look areas gently; wipe the leather-look areas with a damp cloth.
