NexusRig Rookie Flight Edition: overview

The NexusRig Rookie Flight Edition turns our NexusRig Rookie cockpit into a complete flight simulator cockpit. It comes with a flight seat built for commercial and military flying – HOTAS cut-outs, lumbar support and premium materials for long-haul comfort – plus left and right control mounts for your sticks and throttles.

Mount a yoke directly on the yoke platform and your rudder pedals on the baseplate, with a micro side slider and angle adjustment to get them perfect. Its 40x40 base with 80x40 uprights keeps it compact and affordable while staying rigid and very adjustable.

Because it is a NexusRig at heart, it races too: add a wheel base, pedals and the gear shift mount and switch from flying to driving.

Racing too: wheel bases from Fanatec, Logitech, Thrustmaster, MOZA, Asetek, Simagic, AccuForce and Cammus, plus the major shifters and pedals.

Choosing and building a sim rig

Rigidity first. A cockpit exists so the force your wheel base produces goes into your hands, not into a flexing frame. Direct drive bases need a stiff front mount; aluminium profile rigs (40 mm and 80 mm extrusion with 8 mm slots) are the stiffest and most adjustable, while steel tube rigs are lighter and quicker to assemble.

Driving position. GT position puts you upright with the pedals low; formula position reclines the seat and raises the pedals. Check whether the cockpit, seat bracket and pedal mount allow the position you want.

Plan the extras. Monitor stands, shifter and handbrake mounts, keyboard trays and PC shelves bolt onto most profile rigs. Planning them up front avoids drilling or re-assembling later.

Setup and use

1. Assemble the cockpit.
2. Fit the flight seat (and slider).
3. Install the side mounts and yoke platform; attach your controls.
4. Mount rudder pedals on the baseplate, adjust everything and calibrate in your simulator.

Care and maintenance

Check bolts after the first week and monthly. Wipe the frame with a damp cloth; clean the seat with mild soap.

Shipping is free on orders worldwide. Orders are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days and typically arrive within 4–8 business days in total, with tracking sent by email. Large items such as cockpits, seats and monitor stands can ship in several boxes, customs or public holidays can occasionally add a few days, and some items ship directly from our supplier.

Returns

You have 14 days from delivery to return the product for a refund, for any reason. It must be new, unused and in its original packaging with all accessories and documents. Contact us at metanexusxr@gmail.com with your order number to start the return.

Warranty

Products bought from our store are covered by a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. If anything goes wrong, email us your order number and a short description or photo and we will handle the claim with you.
