NexusMount universal direct drive front mount: overview

The NexusMount universal front mount holds a direct drive wheel base by its front flange, the stiffest way to mount a high-torque motor.

Aluminium side plates and a moulded aluminium front plate make it one of the strongest mounts around, and it tilts up to 12 degrees for your driving position.

It fits most wheel decks, plates and existing mounting holes on our cockpits and other rigs.

Bases: Simucube 2 and 3 (Sport, Pro, Ultimate), Simagic Alpha Mini, Alpha and Alpha Ultimate, VNM Direct Drive range, VRS DirectForce Pro, Immsource ET3/ET5, Leo Bodnar SimSteering 2, Sim-Lab DDX, SimXperience AccuForce Pro V2, plus Fanatec and MIGE direct drive bases.

Rigs: NexusRig Classic, Apex, Compact, Formula, F1 Replica Emerald, Sprint, Rookie, NexusHaul Truck and any cockpit with a wheel plate.

Mounting on aluminium profile rigs

The 8 mm slot standard. Most modern sim rigs use 40 mm-based aluminium extrusion (40x40, 40x80, 40x160) with 8 mm slots. Mounts fix with M8 bolts and T-nuts that slide into the slot, so they can be moved and re-angled at any time.

Rigidity and access. Mount heavy or high-force devices (handbrakes, shifters, wheel bases) as close to a vertical upright or cross member as possible. Leave room to get in and out of the seat.

Tools. A set of hex keys (mainly 6 mm for M8) covers nearly every mount. Snug every bolt, test, then do a final tightening once the position is right.

Setup and use

1. Bolt the front plate to your base's flange.
2. Fit the side plates to the wheel deck.
3. Set the tilt and tighten.

Care and maintenance

Recheck the bolts after the first high-torque sessions.
