NexusMount oversized shifter mount: overview

The NexusMount oversized shifter mount has a larger plate for bigger and heavier shifter units that do not sit well on a standard mount.

It grips the profile with two slots and slides forward and back, and a distance slider lets you fine-tune the reach.

It belongs to the NexusMount modular system: it piggy-backs onto the Gen 2 shifter mount, so you upgrade without buying a new base. For a firm fit we recommend the extension support if your rig does not already have one.

Mounting on aluminium profile rigs

The 8 mm slot standard. Most modern sim rigs use 40 mm-based aluminium extrusion (40x40, 40x80, 40x160) with 8 mm slots. Mounts fix with M8 bolts and T-nuts that slide into the slot, so they can be moved and re-angled at any time.

Rigidity and access. Mount heavy or high-force devices (handbrakes, shifters, wheel bases) as close to a vertical upright or cross member as possible. Leave room to get in and out of the seat.

Tools. A set of hex keys (mainly 6 mm for M8) covers nearly every mount. Snug every bolt, test, then do a final tightening once the position is right.

Setup and use

1. Fit the mount to the profile (or onto the Gen 2 shifter mount).
2. Bolt your shifter to the plate.
3. Slide to your reach and tighten.

Large items such as cockpits, seats and monitor stands can ship in several boxes, customs or public holidays can occasionally add a few days, and some items ship directly from our supplier.

Returns

Warranty

Products bought from our store are covered by a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. If anything goes wrong, email us your order number and a short description or photo and we will handle the claim with you.
