NexusDrive DD12 + NexusWheel GT Carbon bundle: overview

This bundle pairs the NexusDrive DD12 with the NexusWheel GT Carbon – a matched steering system ready to bolt onto your rig.

The base is a 12 Nm direct drive base with an ultra-low inertia 5-pole servo motor, zero-cogging technology, a 21-bit encoder and active cooling. It accepts standard quick-release patterns and works with the major sims on PC.

The wheel side is the NexusWheel GT Carbon (carbon fibre panel, reinforced steel frame, 8 RGB buttons, 2 thumb encoders, 2 seven-way switches, 2 twelve-position LED encoders, 9-segment rev lights, modular paddles, QR50 included; 189.6 × 109.1 × 153.7 mm, 1,075 g).

Compatibility

PC. Mount the base on a rig with a wheel deck, or with our NexusMount 2-way side-mount kit or side-mount plates.

Pedals connect separately; our NexusPedal sets are a natural match.

Building a sim racing or flight setup

Base, rim and pedals. In a modular setup the wheel base holds the force feedback motor, the rim clips on with a quick release and the pedals connect to the base or by USB. Rims and pedals must suit your base, and the base decides which platforms are supported.

Direct drive. Direct drive bases attach the rim straight to the motor for the most detailed and strongest feedback. They need a rigid cockpit or a strong desk mount.

Load cell pedals. A load cell brake measures pressure, not travel, like a real car. It is the single upgrade that improves lap-time consistency the most.

Setup and use

1. Mount the base on your rig.
2. Fit the wheel (and paddles) with the quick release.
3. Connect USB and power, install the configuration app.
4. Set rotation, force and button mapping.

Care and maintenance

Keep the base vents clear and check mounting bolts regularly. Wipe carbon and grips with a dry cloth.
