This neoprene sim racing floor mat covers the full footprint of a cockpit – 1800 x 900 mm – to protect hardwood, tile or carpet, reduce noise and keep your rig from creeping during the most intense sessions.

Choosing and building a sim rig

Rigidity first. A cockpit exists so the force your wheel base produces goes into your hands, not into a flexing frame. Direct drive bases need a stiff front mount; aluminium profile rigs (40 mm and 80 mm extrusion with 8 mm slots) are the stiffest and most adjustable, while steel tube rigs are lighter and quicker to assemble.

Driving position. GT position puts you upright with the pedals low; formula position reclines the seat and raises the pedals. Check whether the cockpit, seat bracket and pedal mount allow the position you want.

Plan the extras. Monitor stands, shifter and handbrake mounts, keyboard trays and PC shelves bolt onto most profile rigs. Planning them up front avoids drilling or re-assembling later.

Setup and use

1. Clean the floor.
2. Lay the mat flat.
3. Place the rig on the mat.

Care and maintenance

Vacuum and wipe with a damp cloth; let it dry fully.
