M8 hex screws and spring T-nuts: overview
These sets combine carbon steel M8 spring-leaf T-nuts with M8 x 16 mm hex screws for 8 mm slot aluminium profile.
The spring leaf holds the T-nut in position in the slot while you line up a bracket, and the 19 mm nut's large contact surface gives a strong, shock-resistant joint.

Mounting on aluminium profile rigs
The 8 mm slot standard. Most modern sim rigs use 40 mm-based aluminium extrusion (40x40, 40x80, 40x160) with 8 mm slots. Mounts fix with M8 bolts and T-nuts that slide into the slot, so they can be moved and re-angled at any time.
Rigidity and access. Mount heavy or high-force devices (handbrakes, shifters, wheel bases) as close to a vertical upright or cross member as possible. Leave room to get in and out of the seat.
Tools. A set of hex keys (mainly 6 mm for M8) covers nearly every mount. Snug every bolt, test, then do a final tightening once the position is right.
Setup and use
- Slide the T-nut into the slot.
- Fit your bracket and tighten with a 6 mm hex key.
Care and maintenance
Do not over-tighten; store spares dry.
