Aluminium Profile Headset & Steering Wheel Hook – Universal Holder for 8 mm Slot Sim Rigs

Headset and steering wheel hook: overview

This headset hook gives your headset, or a spare steering wheel, a home on the rig, keeping the cockpit tidy and everything close at hand.

The downward-curved hook stops items from slipping off, and it fits any 8 mm slot aluminium profile; under a side rail is the ideal spot.

It comes with a mounting bolt and nut.

Who the headset and steering wheel hook is for

• Streamers and esports rigs

Compatibility

Rigs: our aluminium profile cockpits (NexusRig Fortress, Formula Hybrid, Titan, Vanguard, Sprint, Rookie, NexusHaul Truck) and other 8 mm T-slot extrusion rigs.

Mounting on aluminium profile rigs

The 8 mm slot standard. Most modern sim rigs use 40 mm-based aluminium extrusion (40x40, 40x80, 40x160) with 8 mm slots. Mounts fix with M8 bolts and T-nuts that slide into the slot, so they can be moved and re-angled at any time.

Rigidity and access. Mount heavy or high-force devices (handbrakes, shifters, wheel bases) as close to a vertical upright or cross member as possible. Leave room to get in and out of the seat.

Tools. A set of hex keys (mainly 6 mm for M8) covers nearly every mount. Snug every bolt, test, then do a final tightening once the position is right.

Setup and use

1. Slide the nut into the profile slot.
2. Bolt the hook on.
3. Hang your headset or wheel.

Care and maintenance

Wipe clean; check the bolt occasionally.
