NexusWheel Open 310: overview

The NexusWheel Open 310 is an open-wheel style sim racing wheel with a full die-cast aluminium front and rear housing – light, rigid and vibration-damped for an immersive feel and maintenance-free durability.

A contoured 3D front panel puts 8 RGB buttons (500 g actuation), 2 programmable encoder dials, 2 funky switches and 2 dual-mode 12-step rotaries under your thumbs, for up to 104 independent inputs. A 2.99-inch LCD shows 7 customisable dash pages, and 33 RGB LEDs (9 rev lights, 24 knob lights) give telemetry cues.

Silent magnetic Hall shift paddles and two modular Hall clutch paddles complete it, wrapped in a wear-resistant microfibre rim.

Building a sim racing or flight setup

Base, rim and pedals. In a modular setup the wheel base holds the force feedback motor, the rim clips on with a quick release and the pedals connect to the base or by USB. Rims and pedals must suit your base, and the base decides which platforms are supported.

Direct drive. Direct drive bases attach the rim straight to the motor for the most detailed and strongest feedback. They need a rigid cockpit or a strong desk mount.

Load cell pedals. A load cell brake measures pressure, not travel, like a real car. It is the single upgrade that improves lap-time consistency the most.

Setup and use

  1. Fit your quick release adapter and mount on your base.
  2. Connect USB (or CAN).
  3. Set up the dash and LEDs in the software; map inputs in your sim.

Care and maintenance

Wipe the microfibre rim with a slightly damp cloth; clean the screen with a dry microfibre.
