NexusShift 8-speed dual-mode shifter: overview

The NexusShift 8-speed is a dual-mode shifter that switches between an 8-speed H-pattern (plus reverse) and sequential with a single lever – no disassembly.

A pull-up gear lock prevents accidental selection of 7th, 8th or reverse, and adjustable damping lets you set a realistic or lighter throw. Gear knobs are interchangeable.

It is full metal – CNC aluminium housing with a steel core – measures 170 × 102 × 264.5 mm and weighs about 2 kg, with multiple M6 mounting holes and USB plug-and-play.

Building a sim racing or flight setup

Base, rim and pedals. In a modular setup the wheel base holds the force feedback motor, the rim clips on with a quick release and the pedals connect to the base or by USB. Rims and pedals must suit your base, and the base decides which platforms are supported.

Direct drive. Direct drive bases attach the rim straight to the motor for the most detailed and strongest feedback. They need a rigid cockpit or a strong desk mount.

Load cell pedals. A load cell brake measures pressure, not travel, like a real car. It is the single upgrade that improves lap-time consistency the most.

Setup and use

1. Mount on a shifter mount with M6 bolts.
2. Connect USB.
3. Choose H-pattern or sequential and set damping.

Care and maintenance

Returns
