Dual-rail mechanical dual-mode shifter: overview

This full-metal dual-mode shifter is built like a real gearbox. A true dual-rail selector, inspired by dual- and triple-rail road and rally gearboxes, gives precise shifts and alignment, and a hex drive keeps the centre position true with minimal play.

A mechanical mode collar switches between a gated H-pattern and a spring-loaded sequential mode, engaging mechanical locks and remapping the sensors at the same time – a 9th sensor disables H-pattern logic and provides clean 9th/10th inputs in sequential mode.

Each unit is hand-tuned for gate resistance and travel, built from aircraft-grade aluminium and tensile steel, and connects with a robust external USB-C port. Choose black and red, black, or silver.

Compatibility

Building a sim racing or flight setup

Base, rim and pedals. In a modular setup the wheel base holds the force feedback motor, the rim clips on with a quick release and the pedals connect to the base or by USB. Rims and pedals must suit your base, and the base decides which platforms are supported.

Direct drive. Direct drive bases attach the rim straight to the motor for the most detailed and strongest feedback. They need a rigid cockpit or a strong desk mount.

Load cell pedals. A load cell brake measures pressure, not travel, like a real car. It is the single upgrade that improves lap-time consistency the most.

Setup and use

1. Mount on a rigid shifter mount.
2. Connect USB-C.
3. Set the collar to H-pattern or sequential and map gears in your sim.

Care and maintenance

Check mounting bolts regularly; the mechanism is serviceable and needs no routine lubrication.
