NexusRig Fold Flight Stand: overview

The NexusRig Fold Flight Stand is a rigid, foldable flight sim stand that holds your yoke, joysticks, throttle quadrants and rudder pedals solidly in front of your chair – a big step up from clamping controls to a desk.

It has 3-stage height adjustment, a 30 mm sliding mount and adjustable angle, and left and right side mounts are included for throttles and sticks. Rudder pedals mount on the baseplate with a micro slide and angle adjustment.

It assembles in under 30 minutes, folds away in seconds, and is sim racing ready too: the wheel mount (up to 8 Nm), pedal plate and shifter mount let you add a wheel when you want to drive.

Driving: wheel bases up to 8 Nm, most pedal sets and shifters. Use it with an office chair; an office chair wheel tray is available.

Choosing and building a sim rig

Rigidity first. A cockpit exists so the force your wheel base produces goes into your hands, not into a flexing frame. Direct drive bases need a stiff front mount; aluminium profile rigs (40 mm and 80 mm extrusion with 8 mm slots) are the stiffest and most adjustable, while steel tube rigs are lighter and quicker to assemble.

Driving position. GT position puts you upright with the pedals low; formula position reclines the seat and raises the pedals. Check whether the cockpit, seat bracket and pedal mount allow the position you want.

Plan the extras. Monitor stands, shifter and handbrake mounts, keyboard trays and PC shelves bolt onto most profile rigs. Planning them up front avoids drilling or re-assembling later.

Setup and use

1. Assemble the stand (under 30 minutes).
2. Set height, slide and angle.
3. Fit your yoke or sticks and throttle to the mounts and rudder pedals to the baseplate.
4. Fold it away after flying.

Care and maintenance

Check bolts after the first use and occasionally after folding.

Returns
